Pork Feed supports local agriculture causes
Weston FFA recently held its Drive-Through Pork Feed in the Weston High School parking lot.
Proceeds from the event went to the Farmer Angel Network, which is a collaborative effort between the Sauk County Health Department, Sauk County Extension, Project Recovery, local churches and concerned farmers. The network focuses on mental health among farmers and provides education, resources and fellowship.
Due to the feed, the FFA gave $2,200 to the Farmer Angel Network.
FFA Advisor Randi Osborne attributed the success to student participation, people who purchased meals and Lime Ridge Ag Supply, which covered the cost of supplies.
“We chose this charity because it is a local organization that had a direct link to our community,” she said of the Farmer Angel Network.
