The School District of Reedsburg and Weston School District have joined a growing roster of educators who are calling for help from the State of Wisconsin for funding and property tax relief.

Both districts join Baraboo, River Valley, Sauk Prairie and Wisconsin Dells in urging the need for assistance.

With the River Valley School District not even a year removed from a $14.1 million operational referendum that passed by 50.4 percent of the vote — 37 out of over 5,000 voters — and the Sauk Prairie School District staring down a $3.2 million operational and $68.4 million capital referenda in April, the subject of school funding is on administra

The School District of Reedsburg reminds the public that open enrollment has begun for the 2026-2027 school year.

Parents can enroll their children in 4K, which includes a new full-day option that runs Monday through Thursday.

The School District of Reedsburg will hold two information sessions about the upcoming referendum.

An operational referendum will be on the April 7 ballot.

The first will be held from 6:30 to 7: 30 p.m. Feb. 26 at Webb Middle School. Another will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. March 4 at the Fusch Community Center.

Students at St. Luke School in Plain celebrated Catholic Schools Week with area veterans in late January. The students were honored to have the Veterans join them for a delicious turkey lunch. Everyone sat together and took part in some engaging conversations. The school’s chef, James Bell, prepared a scrumptious meal for everyone to enjoy.

Reedsburg School Board Member Gary Woolever was recognized by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards for serving 20 years on the School District of Reedsburg Board.
