Pets of the Week: Honey and Ophelia
The Sauk County Humane Society has unveiled its featured pets, with comments from shelter staff. They are as follows.
Honey is a 6-month-old red heeler mix who is every bit as sweet as her name. This adorable girl is the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and snuggly sweetness, with some pretty impressive satellite-dish ears to top it all off. Honey can be a little timid when she first meets you, but give her some time and her loving personality starts to shine. She’s still a young pup and a clean slate when it comes to training, so she’ll need a patient family ready to help her learn the ropes. A confident dog in the home could be a great buddy and help Honey come out of her shell. She could also do well with kids and possibly cats. With some love, consistency, and guidance, Honey has all the makings of a wonderful family dog! She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
Ophelia is a 5-month-old domestic shorthair with a gorgeous torbie coat and plenty of personality packed into her little frame. She’s friendly and outgoing, and she has no problem being picked up and carried when it’s time for a little attention. Like any good kitten, Ophelia has places to go and things to investigate, so she loves getting out to play, explore, and see what she can find. She has an independent streak and is perfectly happy entertaining herself, but she still enjoys spending time with people between her adventures. Active, curious, playful, and incredibly sweet, Ophelia has that fun kitten energy that can make just about anything entertaining. Add in those beautiful torbie markings, and this little girl has both the looks and personality to win someone over pretty quickly. She is up to date on her vaccinations and will be spayed prior to adoption.
