Pets of the Week: Luna and Hurshey

The Sauk County Humane Society has unveiled its featured pets, with comments from shelter staff. They are as follows.

Luna is a beautiful 3-year-old husky/heeler mix with a whole lot of personality packed into her 32-pound frame! She came to SCHS as a stray and is ready to find an active family who can keep up with her playful, energetic spirit. Luna loves to run, play, and stay busy, so plenty of exercise, fun toys, and a fenced yard would be right up her alley. She's a smart girl who already knows come, sit, and lie down, and she keeps her kennel nice and clean. Luna would do best with older kids who can handle her enthusiasm. She needs a cat-free home and can be picky about her dog friends, so introductions are important. With her gorgeous fluffy coat and fun-loving personality, Luna is ready for her next adventure! She is up to date on her vaccinations and will be spayed prior to adoption.

Hurshey is a 2-year-old bunny who came to the shelter after her owner's health made it difficult to continue caring for her. This sweet girl is looking for a new place to call home, and we're hoping someone will give her the chance to settle in and enjoy the good life. At 2 years old, Hurshey is still a young rabbit with plenty of time for hopping around, exploring, and getting into a little bunny mischief. Rabbits can be wonderful companions, each with their own unique personality, and Hurshey deserves a family who will enjoy getting to know hers. With a comfortable space to call her own, plenty of enrichment, and some patience as she adjusts to a new routine, Hurshey could make a lovely addition to a rabbit-loving home. She's ready for her next chapter, and we're hoping it includes lots of love, fresh veggies, and plenty of room to hop! She is up to date on her vaccinations and will be spayed prior to adoption.
