Ballweg wins literacy award


Sen. Joan Ballweg, seen here holding a plaque, was added to the inaugural Honor Roll Class through the non-profit Reach Out and Read Program. The initiative recognizes those who support legislation or other related efforts to improve literacy. Ballweg secured $500,000 for Reach Out and Read from the 2023-2025 budget.
