A staggering number of school districts across Wisconsin have gone to referendum since last April, and another one is joining their ranks.
In August, the local Council of the Knights of Columbus No. 3805 held its annual drive for special education programs. It raised $2,658.22, which was divided between Reedsburg Area High School, Webb Middle School and Sacred Heart School.
Through community collaboration, Sauk Prairie High School now has a 150-kilowatt solar array on its roof that will help save the district more than $45,000 in annual utility costs. The district plans to install more in years to come.
